My Story

Personal trainer coaching client in St Albans

I’ve been working as a personal trainer for over 10 years, and it STILL doesn’t feel like a job. I’ve learnt so much about what does and doesn’t work for my clients. It's not a case of one size fits all, but about what size fits you.

I help my clients by giving them the knowledge and the confidence in their training that they need to not only reach their goals but reach them faster!!

At 17 stone, it was time to lose the weight that was holding me down. I started slow; not knowing quite what to do, I watched other people and tried to copy them, but my form was awful and my results were slow. However, with perseverance and drive I researched and tried new things, noticing the change in my fitness and body shape which spurred me on.

After a couple of months I noticed my results were slowing down and I couldn’t really find any more information to help me,  so I decided to try a personal trainer. He helped me progress even further and I was incredibly impressed with the knowledge he had – and in return he was impressed with my ability to retain the things he told me and my passion for fitness.

After training for a couple of months, I was feeling a lot fitter, healthier and a lot more confident. People were now coming up to me asking for advice and it felt good when I had the answers. When my trainer recommended that maybe I should become a trainer myself it took me by surprise, but I had to admit I loved the idea of helping people find that feeling of achievement that I felt, so I did.

Over the last 10 years my knowledge has grown and I have specialised in postural stability and body alignment, a lot of pain can be brought on by poor posture, correcting this not only can reduce pain, it also increases your physical fitness as well as make you look slimmer and future proof your body.

My true passion is my work; I take great pride when a client reaches the goal we have set. It’s a great feeling and it’s the reason I work so hard to make sure you don’t fail.

Remember: Training, no matter how hard, should be fun!
