I started with Colin’s exercise class and Pilates at Abbots Langley five months ago. I had tried other exercise classes but never kept them up due to my lack of confidence. Colin aims the exercise classes at a person’s ability and makes you feel at ease by explaining in detail every step of the exercise. He also makes the exercise fun and very easy to follow. Colin is a great instructor and I would highly recommend him.

Since joining Colin’s exercise class on a Tuesday and his Pilates class on a Thursday at Abbots Langley, the pain I suffered due to old injuries in my back, arm and knee has greatly improved. My arm, which was severely injured, was not only painful but very weak but over time I have noticed my it getting stronger. Colin is a great instructor and he will aim the exercises at your capability and will explain in great detail what he wants you to do and why. He makes the lessons fun as well as beneficial and I would highly recommend him as a trainer.

Colin Fisher is my personal trainer and I have been working with him for five years. He works you hard throughout your session but you feel so much better for the workout. He tailors your sessions to your personal needs and will focus on particular areas to improve body strength, stability and fitness levels. He is very knowledgeable about all aspects of physiology and is careful to train correctly to avoid any injuries. Although a hard worker, he is also a great guy and makes the training sessions fun. We have a laugh whilst working out which makes the time fly by. Since I started training with Colin, I have become noticeably fitter, leaner and more toned – and I feel so much better in myself. I would definitely recommend him if you are looking for a trainer.

I started training with Colin 2 years ago after I noticed a team mate at HRFC getting fitter. He recommended Colin and initially Colin put together a program geared towards rugby. I am now training for the Tough Mudder series and his sessions are a vital part of my training. His approach really suits me and he gets results. Whether your goal is sport related or you just want to lose weight, Colin will develop a program that is fun and pushes you.

Colin was my personal trainer for over 5 years. From the outset, I loved his enthusiasm and wide range of expertise. He really cares about the progress of each of his clients and for me, each session was both challenging and fun. My specific schedule involved aerobics, weights, outdoor training, badminton and Pilates. Colin was attentive and flexible so that the program was always stimulating, never merely routine.

There was a break in my training following a bout of pneumonia. Colin was a pivotal influence in my rehabilitation, being unfailingly patient and encouraging and I am greatly indebted to him. He would respond in exactly the same way for any of his clients for he is unfailingly professional and committed in attitude.

I cannot recommend him more highly as the best personal trainer you could choose.

We, my family of 4 ages 15, 18, 50 and 51, have been clients of Colin’s for the last 2 / 3 years. I could literally write pages about how good we all think he is but I must be brief. As you can imagine we are quite a diverse set of characters, all working  out in totally different ways. Colin always manages to motivate each of us to give him 110% every session. Each session is varied so never dull (I mean when was the last time you laughed while being tortured? Colin makes me laugh all the time so I don’t notice that he’s just pushed me past what I thought was my limit). Colin’s knowledge about health, food, the body etc. always impresses me and totally helps maintain the “keep fit” regime past the gym doors. He has inspired my sons and kept them safe in the gym by educating them on how to work out properly. My husband has reached goals he and Colin set and is the fittest he has ever been. If I was to give a star rating it would be 5 star all the way.

Good fun, constantly changing work-outs which never get boring and are a real but achievable challenge … suddenly you realise you can do things you never thought you would. Colin has never tried to make me run which was the deal when I signed up (and is a result in itself!) but I feel better about myself in 3 months than I have for years and have shrunk inches and lost lbs… a great, enjoyable, experience and one I really hope to keep up for the foreseeable future. A truly excellent trainer. My goal was to be fit at my 50th birthday and it seems to be coming true!

Where do I start  I think Colin is great. I’ve signed up with instructors before but always felt a bit silly, not really feeling like I know what I’m doing as very often been left ‘a minute.’ Colin is knowledgeable, supportive, motivates, he seems to remember me and my failings, but best of all he really makes me laugh. This is my second series of sessions with him, I’ve never done that before! And, I’ve no hesitation in signing up again.

Colin started chatting to me in January at Harpers whist I was supposedly ‘working out’ ( my annual New Year resolution!). I was impressed by his observations on how I was using the equipment in the gym and the discussion on fitness that followed.
As a chartered physio I have a fair amount of insight into how the musculoskeletal sketal system works, but more from a rehab than fitness point of view.
I found Colin to be professional, informative, and knowledgable.

I have known Colin for around two years and had seen him in action with others several times. I finally took the plunge and Colin and I now have a loose arrangement where he and I get together every couple of weeks and he re-invigorates my fitness routines and also my enthusiasm for the Gym.

He is very flexible with session timings, fun to be around and a great motivator. I recommend him to anyone who needs a little encouragement, direction or an injection of enthusiasm.

My experiences of personal trainers were that they followed you around the gym giving you a few words of encouragement whilst doing your usual work out. It was refreshing to experience Colin’s sessions. His work outs are varied, challenging and tough but always good fun and no two sessions are the same. Colin seems to have a knack of remembering your limits and helping you push them so you see real results. Despite what I may say to him as he is pushing me that little bit further he does make all of his sessions worthwhile and we always have a laugh. Thank you Colin!

My fitness level was going down with age. I was running less, hardly using the gym and really losing the will to continue. Colin has changed all that. The sessions he devises for me are varied, ranging from being outdoors on the running track making the most of the weather to strengthening sessions in the gym . There is much humour as well as challenge and throughout Colin is unfailingly supportive and professional despite my whingeing on occasion (ok all the time). As a result I have become fitter and lost weight into the bargain and can honestly say that the relationship we have developed means that I look forward to our sessions each week.

I am soooo pleased to have Colin as my trainer.

After stopping and starting with various exercise classes and gym memberships over the years, I can honestly say that I’ve never enjoyed exercise so much, nor made so much progress in a relatively short time, than I have with Colin.
Attending with a small group of colleagues really helped. The sessions have been great, and all of us were given adapted activities to suit our very varied levels of fitness.
Colin – I know I have muttered less than complimentary comments at you after particularly punishing exercises – as you know all too well!! But, I think you have forgiven me!
I’ve loved the sessions. You’re the best trainer I know – and I hope we’ll be able to continue with these sessions again very soon.

After deciding that I was wasting my youth becoming a couch potato I decided to get fit. My main problem was that my self motivation was zero and so I felt a personal trainer was the way forward. Colin has been amazing in motivating me and keeping my sessions fun and relaxed. I have found the sessions have pushed me and I get far more out of them then leaving me to my own devices.
As the weeks have gone on I look forward to my next session more and more and I find I am now doing more exercise in between my personal training sessions.

A few years ago I decided I was too old for all this fitness lark and got rid of my various bits of gear but was tempted to go along to CF Fitness classes as it seemed good value for money. I had to buy a few items but I must say I have not regretted it.

As I had not excercised for so long, I found it hard – more so in the realisation of how unfit I had become. Now, even after just a few weeks of the varied excercise patterns that Colin puts us through, I feel the benefit and I am actually looking forward to the next session on Tuesday.
